'On us the dawn of trust begins.
Then at least we'll reconcile,
when peace will smile.
And peace WILL smile.
The way light drenches our foes,
but quenches a single rose.'
Shira Chai, 2015
This work holds profound meaning for me. This painting is about hope. It is dedicated to the few of us remaining, believers in peace. It is based on a photo of wheat blowing in the wind that my daughter, Yonat snapped. The painting is oil on canvas 120 cm x 160 cm.
